Access Community Credit Union just completed another successful year. Thanks to you we had some outstanding accomplishments to help better serve you and the panhandle of Texas. ACCU remains a strong financial institution for our community, and our commitment remains firm, "helping you build financial security".

NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz summarized the year for credit union’s this way. “Credit Unions ended the year in a safer and stronger position. Demonstrating the industry’s resilience, 2011 saw annual net income, net worth, total membership, and assets as record highs”.

Access also saw 2011 a bench mark year for our Credit Union. Our membership growth was the best in any single year since becoming a community charter, and our growth in member loans, checking accounts and virtual branch banking products exceeded our expectations and goals for the year.

Access remains very healthy , our net worth (or capital) at 15.7% of assets, is more than double the amount required by regulators, and 4.8% higher than the average for the credit unions nationwide. Our capital provides the reserve for future growth and a safeguard to withstand any economic events that may occur.

Another indication of ACCU's excellent financial position is our track record of earning top ratings from independent analysts of U.S. financial institutions. ACCU was awarded a 5-Star rating - the highest possible - from Bauer Financial. Our audited financial statements may be reviewed by members at main office at 6401 South Bell.
